Sydney Sounds is a soundscape album built around the idea that listening can trigger memory and emotion. Through field recording and careful post-production, the album turns everyday moments in Sydney into a sonic diary—small fragments of place, atmosphere, and feeling that can be revisited through sound. Track 01 | Sydney Memory This piece blends Sydney’s natural ambience—such as ocean waves and birdsong—with urban textures like streets, crowds, and commercial precincts. By shaping balance, pacing, and layering, it highlights the city’s calm coexistence of nature and metropolitan life, while preserving the freedom and energy of everyday Sydney. Track 02 | Voicing China Centered on Sydney’s Chinatown, Voicing China searches for the most recognizable “Chinese sounds” within the city. Framed through an international student’s perspective, it captures “China as heard in Sydney” by isolating and refining key sonic moments (e.g., announcements, bells, live performances), then restructuring them into a clear, time-based narrative through editing and mixing.
